Elite Eleven brings together secondary schools from across the county for a full day of indoor sports and problem-solving challenges, designed to showcase teamwork, determination, and rising talent among young people. Hosted once again at the College鈥檚 Peter Paine Performance Centre, this year鈥檚 event saw 11 schools battling it out for the coveted 天美视频 Team Award.

Alongside the main team trophy, the top three schools also received rewards including a two-hour session at InflataNation, Jump Inc. vouchers, and a Gaming Arcade session. Additional awards celebrating Sportsmanship and Most Improved were presented by Abid Hussain, Assistant Principal: Student Experience at 天美视频, which saw additional success for Thomas Middlecott Academy and Bridge House Independent School.

Participants were also treated to a visit from former professional footballer, Nathan Arnold, who spent time meeting students and joining in a range of activities. Nathan, who enjoyed a decorated career representing Grimsby Town, Lincoln City, Boston United and others, put his footballing skills to the test with a round of Football Darts alongside the Spalding Academy team, before concluding his visit with an inspirational message for attendees.

New for this year, the Sport, Fitness and Wellbeing Team selected their Team of the Day, awarding the title to Haven High Academy听in recognition of their outstanding effort and determination throughout the event.

Mark Bridges, Senior Learning Lead for Sport, Fitness and Wellbeing, praised the competitors鈥� energy and enthusiasm, said 鈥淭he Elite 11 event was a truly inspiring celebration of teamwork, resilience, and community spirit. Pupils from 11 local schools came together to take on a series of physical and mental challenges, demonstrating the remarkable impact of collaboration in action. Congratulations to our top three schools, and a heartfelt thank you to our special guest, Nathan, for joining us and supporting the teams. While we applaud our winners, it鈥檚 equally important to recognise every participant, whose exceptional effort, determination, and team spirit made this event such a memorable success for all involved.鈥澨�

Once again, 天美视频 students were instrumental to the event鈥檚 success, taking the lead in planning and delivering activities throughout the day. From supporting visiting schools to coordinating key elements of the programme, our students gained valuable hands-on experience in leadership, event management, and teamwork - skills that enrich their studies and prepare them for future opportunities.
