The investment is part of the Government's wider programme to build capacity in further education and ensure colleges have the space and resources needed to meet growing demand from both students and employers.听

The funding will support a major redevelopment of the College's construction department, creating听modern,听high-quality, flexible workshops that respond to immediate needs and prepare students for changing careers in the construction sector.听The project includes development of the existing Rochford Campus, providing industry standard workshop space and dynamic teaching areas to create larger, more adaptable learning environments.听

Construction continues to be one of听the听College's fastest-growing curriculum areas, with demand for places increasing alongside the need for skilled workers across the region. The redevelopment aligns with the colleges ambition to expand construction provision in response to the needs of both students, employers and national skills needs.听听

Work is expected to begin in January 2027, with the new facilities due to open in January 2028.听The project is another important investment in 天美视频's estate, building on the College's strong relationships with employers.听听
